It’s always best to set a design consultation to receive the most accurate quote on total time. 

Yes! Many engagement rings are designed privately as part of a proposal plan. Guidance can be provided during consultation to help align design choices with your partner’s style without requiring their direct involvement.

If you need to keep the proposal a surprise, there are a few reliable ways to estimate ring size without directly asking. The most accurate option is to discreetly borrow a ring your partner already wears on the correct finger and have it measured. If that’s not possible, you can compare it against a printable ring size guide or carefully trace the inside of a ring as a reference.

Because finger sizes can vary slightly between hands and change with temperature, these methods provide a close estimate rather than an exact measurement. A final adjustment or resizing can usually be done after the proposal if needed.
