Our process for customizing sustainable jewelry
At Malleable Jewellers, we take the process of crafting custom earrings and other jewelry very seriously.
Step One: Book a consultation
The very first step in creating custom earrings with Malleable would be booking an hour-long consultation. If you can’t have a consultation in person, you can also have a video consultation in the comfort of your own home.
During the consultation, our clients will discuss creating a custom pair of earrings and personalized jewelry to match their tastes and budget with our talented staff.
Our clients are encouraged to any illustrations and photos of other jewelry they like. The pictures will give us a better sense of what you want for your custom earrings. We can also work with any recycled or family heirlooms that you might have.
Step Two: Choose your metals and stones
In the second step of our customization process, our staff will show our clients a variety of ethically sourced metals and stones for your custom earrings. We will also discuss the different options for stone placements and different setting styles.
If a client wants to use any loose stones or old jewelry, they will need to show our staff during this process. After the selection process, our staff will have a sound understanding of what our clients need and want for their custom earrings and other custom jewelry.
Step Three: Create digital designs
After the consultation and selection process, the staff at Malleable Jewellers will take everything that’s been discussed to create a design with our 3D modelling software. We’ll then send you this design to get feedback and to ensure that our clients are satisfied with our design.
Step Four: Crafting your custom earrings
Once we know you are satisfied with our design, we’ll begin the crafting process. We’ll start by crafting then stone setting, finishing and polishing your custom earrings. Our goldsmiths, diamond graders and jewelry designers will all work together to bring your earrings to life.
Step Five: Your design is delivered
When our client’s custom earrings have been crafted to perfection, we’ll work with them to arrange an insured delivery or a pick-up time for your earrings. At Malleable Jewellers, our work doesn’t stop once our client has received their jewelry.
We also provide our clients with a cleaning and care guide specifically for their custom earrings and jewelry. Our staff from Malleable Jewellers will also provide information on where to get certifications, insurance and appraisals.
